Borrowing Books & Other Materials
Current NYU Law Faculty, students and staff can borrow circulating print items in the Law Library print collection. Only visitors who have a Visiting Faculty Appointment by the Global Personnel Committee or who are sponsored by Law School Faculty may receive borrowing privileges. Such visitors should fill out Application for Checkout Privileges for Visitors.

Return print items to the circulation desk (the desk as you come into Vanderbilt Hall). To check due dates of items you have checked out, check your . If you need a special accomodation to return your Law Library items—particularly given the challenges of the pandemic, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You may renew open-stack books from your (first renewal only), in person, or by calling (212) 998-6312. Reserve materials may be renewed twice, in person only. You may not renew a book if another patron has placed a recall for the item.

All circulating Law Library materials are eligible for recall by another borrower. A book checked out for a 4-week period will not be recalled during the first 14 days of the 4 week period. Upon recall, a borrower has 2 days to return the book. If the item is not returned by this new due date, overdue fines will begin to accrue based on the new due date.
It is your responsibility to renew or return Law Library items in accordance with the applicable lending period. Overdue items are charged fines as follows. Inquire at the circulation desk for overdue fines for other types of items.
- Open-stack books are charged .25 per day
- Reserve and late overnight checkouts are charged $0.25 per hour
Charges for Lost Items
Law Library items not returned within set periods will be deemed lost (e.g., open-stack items not returned 28 days after return date and reserve items not returned in 10 days). Patrons in these instances will be charged:
- Cost of replacing the item
- Processing fee ($25) and
- Billing service charge fee ($25)
Trực Tiếp Xổ Số Miền Nam Minh NgọcIf you return the lost Law Library item within two weeks of the issuance of the invoice for the lost item, the replacement cost and the processing fee will be waived but not the billing service charge fee ($25). If you do not return the item within two weeks, the bill is considered final and all costs and fees must be paid in full.
